Print of the Month Launch
Here's a fun way to collect art that you love. Get in on a new series called the Print of Month. Each month through the end of this year, I will offer a new LIMITED EDITION run of only 15 prints from one of my original artworks. Then once these prints are sold out, they are gone forever and will not be for sale any longer. Each exclusive limited print will be signed, numbered and about the same size as the original painting. Why I Paint Sunflowers
For the Print of the Month of August, here is bold and bright sunflower painting. Every year I plant a cut flower garden right outside the studio. It services as inspiration when I need break from painting. I will take a quick walk in the garden cut a fresh bouquet of flowers for the studio and watch the birds play.
Scattered along the fence row and in among the zinnias and cosmos you will always find happy sunflowers there. They grow in different shapes and sizes. There are tall ones, short ones, fluffy, not so fluffy. Some have big brown centers and others without. But the sunflowers I admire the most are the ones that sprout up voluntarily. I don't know why this is but they tend to grow twice as fast and twice as healthy as the little seedlings I carefully start indoors and then transplant out. Possibly the volunteer plants are happy to be free to grow where they choose. They are living examples of the quote "Bloom where you are planted."
In honor of these strong and hardy volunteers I've painted three sunflowers as an original painting. In addition 15 limited edition beautifully reproduced signed and numbered 20X24" prints will also but available a preorder.
