Happy New Year Greetings!

Happy New Year, 2014! Can you believe it? Twenty fourteen already! I hope you are as ready as I am to start fresh and begin a new year. In fact yesterday I went shopping for art supplies and came home with my back seat stacked full of big canvases and a shopping bag full of new paint colors. Can't wait to get started!

I'm currently working on creating art for a show in March with the lovely artist, Claudia Breese. We will each be creating paintings that explore the use of images of trees as a metaphor throughout world cultural history. My plan is to post in progress photos of the paintings over the next few weeks as I work on them.
